READ: WEARABLE ART?
Charitee is a social enterprise, which means we follow a typical business model but essentially exist to tackle social problems and improve the community. Goods are sold in an open market, but all profits are reinvested back into the local community. When we profit, society profits.
Founded in 2016 by Lauren Skinner and Laura Nguyen, Charitee serves two central purposes:
- Garner deserved attention for under-appreciated artists.
- Provide the funds necessary for a selected charity to operate.
We basically put artists' works on t-shirts, sell them, and donate the funds to a particular charity or organization. Through Charitee, we hope that you can gather a more complex understanding of the didactic power of art, while simultaneously contributing to the global community.
Be good humans. Do good things.
